CLUB HOUSE MAKEOVER

Have you noticed the club house has had a makeover.

Well done to all the volunteers who contributed to the decorating of the club house and a special thanks to Bob Prince for arranging this and for all the extra hours he has put in.

A win for Lockswood on Meon Valley's indoor short mat.

Two teams of Four played a Friendly match at Meon Valley on their (long) Short Mat on Wed 11th Jan.

The A team were trailing 4-14 at the 9 end tea break but girded their loins and pulled away to a magnificent 20-15 win.

The B team had a very close match but managed a 5 point win (to much joy!) on the last end to take the match 17-14.

This was quite an achievement for LBC, none of the old hands ever remembering such a success on Meons short mat.

New Years Day fun bowlers on a brisk Winters Day - the mulled wine and hot mince pies were much appreciated after bowling.

LBC at Bembridge October 2023

We had 38 who went to Bembridge and had a great time.  Entertainment was excellent and bowling was a challenge but enjoyable.

We had three teams in the quarter finals, two in the semi-finals. Once again Lockswood were in the finals. Unfortunately  Christine and Bob Prince, Jan and Ron Collins were up against a strong team in the finals from Kingsthorpe BC Northampton and came second.

Regards

Sylvia Switzer
