November 2019 News
Presentation Evening and Dinner Dance 2019.
On Tuesday 19th November, Lockswood held their annual Presentation and Dinner Dance, and what a lovely evening it was. An early start to Christmas as the hall was decorated beautifully with festive decorations. On entering the hall the tables looked great and many thanks to all those helpers who gave their time to making sure everything was set up ready for the evening.
Pat welcomed Pam and Tony Bartram, from Fareham Bowling Club as her Guests of Honour for the evening and Pam did a splendid Job in Presenting the trophies. Many thanks to Pam and Tony, it was lovely to see you, we look forward to meeting you both on the green next season.
Everyone enjoyed a lovely three course meal followed by a cheeseboard, coffee and mints and then festive mince pies!
This was followed by the presentation of trophies, won throughout the year. Congratulations to all those who won and who took part in the competitions.

This year's Barry Jarman Trophy - The Bowler of the Year, was won by Peter Brown, for the great success he achieved by reaching three finals, and playing consistently well in the Men's League, in only his second season at the club. Well done Pete!
After the presentations it was time for the dancing. Roger Wellstead and his band did a fine job in playing some great music for us all. This year they welcomed a new member to the band, Tom Payne, who is also a member of the club.
I am sure that all those who attended would wish to thank the caterers for a lovely meal and for the friendly and great service.
To all those who helped to organise and set up the evening in order to make it the success that it was.
A special thank you to Harry Bryant this year as it was his last presentation evening as Competitions Secretary. He has done a brilliant job over the last six years and all the members of Lockswood are grateful for his dedicated service. Many thanks Harry!
Thank you Pat for a good year as President and for making the evening an enjoyable one for us all.
