Presentations and Dancing
Make a ComeBack!
On Tuesday, Lockswood Bowling Club held it's Annual Dinner Dance and Presentation Evening. This was the first time for two years that everyone had been able to get together to celebrate the trophy winners.
It was a cold and seasonal night outside and inside we were welcomed to a beautifully decorated hall and tables to put us in the festive spirit.
The evening began with a lovely meal followed by a speech from Jan Collins our President, who welcomed her special guests Adie Booth and Chris Brett from Meon Valley. Jan expressed her pleasure in seeing everyone together and hoped everyone would enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable time on this special evening. Adie thanked Jan and said he was very much looking forward to meeting us again for our Annual Winter Warmer.
This was followed by dancing to the music of Roger Wellstead and his band which this year featured female vocalist Natalie.
Lockswood would like to thank all those who helped to organise and set up the event to make the evening an enjoyable one, especially:-
Rod Maxted for the organisation of trophies and his photography on the night.
Roger and his band for some great music.
The caterers for their hard work in providing the lovely meal and friendly service.
It was lovely to celebrate the winners of the competitions which had taken place during the year, but mostly it was great to be back together again as a club

Naomi House and Jack's Place was the chosen charity this year for both Jan Collins our President and Eve Aitken our Lady Captain.

Lockswood Bowling Club today presented a cheque for
£720
to Lisa Justice from Naomi House and Jack's Place.
Lisa thanked the Club for their donation and explained that the money will go towards care for all those children whose lives are shortened by illness and also, support for their families by offering facilities such as respite care and medical help in their own homes.
Jan and Eve would like to thank all members of Lockswood Bowling Club for their generosity in supporting this very worthwhile charity.
