Bring and Buy

Cake Sale

We are holding a Cake Sale on;-

Wednesday 1st May.

At 10.00am, in the Clubhouse.  

In aid of the Lady Captain's Charity 


The Macular Society.

We would like as many members as possible to bake a cake, that we can sell on the day.

Please bring your cake to the Club by 9.30am.

Whether baking or not, please buy a freshly baked cake and enjoy a tea or coffee.

All members welcome.

Winter Spoon Drive

The Winter Spoon Drive finished on Saturday 6th April.

Congratulations to Stewart McCabe who won three spoons during the season.

Runners - up were Les Chantler, Sue Coates, Alan Jackson and John Windust who all won two spoons each.

The Accumulator starts on Saturday 13th April. Anyone wishing to play must register and pay the entry fee of 50p by 1- 15pm.

Winter Finals 2019

The Winter Finals took place on Saturday 6th April. The weather was kind and there were a fair number of spectators present to offer support to the players.

Singles Final

The singles final was closely contested between Martin Wellstead and Kevin Gillingham, with Martin finishing as the Winter Singles Champion.

Congratulations to Martin and commiserations to Kevin. 

Pairs Final

In the Winter Pairs Roger Wellstead and Brian Ford played Vi Oliver and Jim Jupe.

Congratulations to Roger and Brian who emerged the victors and are the Winter Pairs Champions.

Commiserations to Vi and Jim.

Congratulations and  well done to all the players for reaching the Finals.

Finally, a huge thank you to Harry Bryant for organising and managing the whole competition and to all the spectators who gave their support.

Lockswood S&D Teams Friendly



There is to be a friendly match between the men's S&D Championship and Combination sides on

Tuesday 16th April at 5.30pm, 

all players who wish to be considered for

either or both teams, are welcome.
