To All Members,
The Latest Covid Update is Attached. Please click
to view and read.
Help us, to help you, stay safe!
Please read carefully, for, what was previously guidance is now LAW and the last thing we would wish for is confrontation with any member over this, now, LEGAL requirement to conform.
Autumn Triples Fixtures, Results (28/09) and Table are now available to view on the
Club Competitions Page.
Provision of shelter during Inclement Weather
You should all have received an email from our President Jan Collins, outlining the provision which, after a full risk assessment, must be adhered to in the event of inclement weather.
A copy of these provisions can also be found by clicking
Please also note the latest reminder.
*IMPORTANT FOR ALL WHO WILL PLAY SKIP, IN THE FORTHCOMING
I have attached a revised set of rules for the Autumn Triples
and would ask that you read them carefully and ensure that the playing
Skip is aware of the rules (copy on the noticeboard and website).
I cannot stress enough the importance of ensuring that
covid precautions are followed at all times because as you are no doubt
aware we are at a very delicate time in the spread of the disease.
Also, although we are playing the tournament under Government and Bowls England guidelines we must be mindful that there is in place a general strict restriction on only 6 persons meeting together
and at the Bowls Club we are in the public eye and any perceived abuse of the rules will not go unnoticed.
We must not attract undue public attention and publicity.

Look! CAN IT BE WINTER ALREADY?
THE NEW SHED HAS ARRIVED!
The New Maintenance and Bowls Equipment Shed
Today, Tuesday 7th September, Lockswood received their new shed for maintenance and bowling equipment. This will give more room for the large pieces of maintenance equipment to be separated from the bowls equipment and will be safer for all!
Just the inside to be fitted out to ensure that everything is stored in an orderly and tidy manner.
I'm sure you will all agree it looks very smart!
ANNUAL DINNER DANCE 2020
To All Members,
Unfortunately, the Annual Dinner Dance scheduled for Tuesday 17th November 2020, is .......cancelled.
The Sarisbury Working Men's Club which is our usual venue for the Dance and Presentation Evening, are not taking bookings at least until the New Year.
The Social Secretary has made enquiries as to whether we could book elsewhere, but, unfortunately, all responses to him were the same. This event is another victim of the pandemic.
Apologies to you all, but your "Strictly" moves will have to wait until it is safe to hold this event in the future!
For the Attention of all Lockswood Men!
Please see below email request for new Bowls Hampshire
Men's Match Secretary.
