Autumn Triples 2020

Autumn Triples Announcement 2020.jpg

Strange and difficult times, but life goes on at Lockswood. The replacement shed arrives on 7th September and in preparation the old shed has been dismantled and the concrete base extended.

The eagle eyed amongst you, will have also spotted in the photograph that the two old gardening sheds have also been reduced to a pile of metal. This is to make way for the old maintenance and equipment shed, which is being reduced in size by a third and re-erected , just beyond the Sherbourne Building. This will become the new gardening shed.

Whilst there has been a lot of activity off the green, competitive bowling has been played on the green, in the form of the Covid Challenge.

This has been a very successful enterprise. Our thanks to Competition Secretary, Rod Maxted.

With the delivery of the new building imminent, it has been necessary to clear the area behind the old shed, cut the hedge and remove the electrics.

Surprisingly approximately six dozen London House bricks, in excellent condition were discovered, they are now stacked just inside the gate and are

free to members on a first come, first served basis.
